I'm a 63 year old widow...tired of wood, fire smells, etc. My girlfriend bought an Amish fireplace which gave me the idea of an insert - since I already had a real fireplace. I almost purchased the less expensive model; however, I noticed that this model had logs that glowed - so I purchased it. I set it up myself in about 5 minutes, plugged it in and - voila - amazing!!! I also purchased a CD from the UK of crackling fire sounds, and when I have both going, it's like the real thing. LOVE IT!!!
